A's Trade:
FYPD 2024 3rd round pick (originally Cubs pick acquired via trade) RHP Kumar Rocker (TEX) OF Johnathan Rodriguez (CLE)
DBacks trade:
Bryan Reynolds (OF-PIT) $300,000 (2024)
DBacks confirm and accept. I am toiling about as the 5th place NL team when 4 teams make the playoffs. With my record below .500, I doubt I would gain any ground. This trade gives me the opportunity to get a nice return for a guy I had no intention of re-signing. I'm still hoping Rocker recovers from TJ and is able to contribute as early as 2025, although 2026 is probably more realistic. Rodriguez has nice power and has been great at AAA. He didn't do much with his first take of the big leagues, but that doesn't mean much. Getting an additional FYPD pick is always nice. Reynolds should help the A's in their 2024 quest.

A’s accept. We’ve been looking to add another big time bat to our lineup. It’s good to have Bryan Reynolds back as an Oakland Athletic, being that he was traded under the previous regime, prior to us taking over. It was tough giving up the type of prospects that we did. We feel like we have a legit chance at a World Series and this is one of the ways we are going for it! We are still looking to do more deals… so everyone, we are open for business.

Nick Loftin has been sent down, via rookie rule as the corresponding move to this trade.

And I will probably promote from within if/when this trade get approved; but I will post in the other thread when needed.

One, two, and two again. I think that's three.
