Never traded. suicide-squeeze.proboards.com/thread/1869/2020-first-player-draft-concludedTwins Accepts. With the last couple trades, I feel good about my MI and 1B situation going forward. Want to clear a little cap space to make sure I land my FA targets. Landing two(2) top 100 prospects is helpful especially since I depleted my minors as of late trying to win now. Nice dealing RedSox.

I am going to need more from Red Sox than just "accept".

Red Sox accept, I am a big fan of Luis Arreaz based on his BA and getting to be a better player every year. He is slated to leadoff this year for Minn, so there should be many AB for him. I do need a catcher and will work out fine, if Sanchez doesn't sign with any team I will have 2 catchers for the season. Corbin Martin is a work in progress just like Mick Abel, Abel has a real problem with walks and is slow moving through the minors.
Henry Davis so far has been injury prone and has a chance to be in the ML this year. He could be good, maybe as good as his press, but then again he is a prospect so maybe not.
Martin and Bethancourt I figure is for Mick Abel and Arreaz is fair for Henry Davis.

Though FG has him hitting 3rd behind Jazz and Soler. I am not ready to vote yet either.

Christian Bethancourt provides a starting catcher with average catchers stats, plus a little power (11 HRs last year). He also qualifies at 1B in our league. Luis Arraez has impressive career stats for a 25 year old (.314 avg and .374 OBP). He also qualifies at 2B in our league. Corbin Martin is a below average RP. He is under control though, through 2027.
Henry Davis & Mick Abel are two top-73 prospects. Per Baseball America's Top 100, Davis is ranked #73. Abel is ranked #39. These two prospects provide long-term control of superior talent.
My thoughts: Arraez has the track record to be a perennial star. Bethancourt and Corbin are little more than throw-ins, based on Bethancourt's age and Martin's lackluster performance. In my mind, this trade boils down to Arraez for two highly ranked minors. Would I like to see a little more for Arraez? Yes. But Arraez is only under control through next year. He will then require Big $$ and and a Re-sign Tag. Henry Davis & Mick Abel are long term control pieces. This deal might be a little unbalanced, but not enough for me to veto.

Correct, Arreaz was traded from Minn to Mia and is slated to bat 3rd on the 2023 projected line-up. I have poswer bats, I need some average from Arreaz to help my free swingers.
Henry Davis is projected for 25 AB's in 2023 and posted an .890 OPS (which is good), as he was drafted in 2021. But the 23-year-old catcher has only played in 67 career minor-league games (which is bad for 2 seasons).
This may not be the best trade, but it is a fair and will not hurt the integrity of our league.
