Rockies trade:

2021 2nd Rd FYPD
Didi Gregorius (PHI) $8,100,000 (2021) RE-SIGN *Currently on the 10 Day DL

Mariners trade:

Max Scherzer (WAS) $16,500,000 (2021)

Rockies accept even if I don't think I will be able to Scherzer. He was given a bloated one year deal last offseason. I have to get rid of a contract to absorb Scherzer contract. Gregorius is on the DL. He is a top 20 SS when healthy but I have Galvis who is doing fine by now. Seattle might recoup something for Gregorius alos. I give a lot but I needed to upgrade my pitching to keep pace with Houston, San Diego and eventually Chicago if I make the playoffs. My window to compete open last year and I need to take my chance.

I will have to make a roster spot for him but I will do it today!

Seattle accepts. I am trying to move assets that are expiring. Scherzer is a beast when it comes to numbers , but this year I am out of it so no reason to carry him when I can get a pick for him. Didi is there to help money work. Once trade is completed he will be on my trade block.
