Twins accept. I am improving my offense and relieving staff (pitching ratios).
Huascar Ynoa (ATL-Prospect) has emerged unexpectedly, I like my minor league system so he was a happy bonus that I don’t mind cashing out.
I acquired Jose Siri via trade but he hasn’t live up to the potential. His power bat is nice but not sure if he can hit enough to meet the early promise; his prospect star has dimmed significantly over the last 2 years so happy to get a return on him.
I am adding a true “big” bat in Cruz even at his age and expiring contract and reinforcement in the the bullpen in Pagan to replace Bass who I moved here to make the salaries work.

Mariners accepts.
Unfortunately my team started off slow, maybe I can rally. But keeping Cruz was a luxury that I felt I would be better served trading to get a younger player. Cruz is a true elite bat but after the start I am not a front runner, so my team apparently isn’t as strong as I thought it would be. Obviously as I have said before I am a Braves fan and not sure if Ynoa will continue pitching how he has started this season, but I feel it is worth the chance. So getting the control on a young SP that I like I feel is worth trading Cruz. Bass on my side was only there to make salary work. Rolling the dice Siri rebounds. Pagan is a nice RP but I have a couple of RP in paid minors that I can call up to replace.
I struggle to determine the value of a rental player. I would question if this enough value for Cruz and Pagan. But this is by far the option I like the most. The other options either had expiring contracts of players I wouldn’t resign or marginal players coming back in return. In one scenario I asked for a prospect rated in the top 100 but on lower part of it. I was told it was absurd to ask for an elite prospect for an expiring contract. I only say all this, if you are like me and question the value of a player like Cruz who is elite but only has a year left. This was the best option I had. I am making this trade to acquire a pitching prospect that I am high on and giving up a player who because of age wouldn’t use a resign on but I would give a 1 year contract to in FA. Value is determined by what someone is willing to trade for the player.
Thanks Twins for Trade and good luck with boom stick

Probably does not matter but to be clear on everything Huascar Ynoa is a 2026 end date.

At first I thought maybe this was a little light for Cruz/Pagan. Nelson Cruz remains an ELITE bat but he is also 40 and UT only. Part of why he only signed here as a free agent on a one-year deal.
Pagan I thought was a better SU guy but so far this year only has 2 holds. Bass lost the closer gig and seems unlikely to regain it but should eventually start picking up some holds if he continues to pitch well.
I don't know if Huascar Ynoa can keep this up but he is just 22 yrs old. He so far has pitched extremely well for a deep Braves staff that has had some injuries to deal with.
Bass probably has more value than almost 26 yo Siri does at this point. Maybe Siri can still carve out some kind of role if he rebounds. Its a wild card at this point.
APPROVAL #1
EDIT: Twins will need to create roster spots as well if approved.
