Reasoning: Making a push for 2021 with little cap space means I move prospects to get who I want. Love having the 2nd closer and DIaz was lights out last year, so it'll be exciting to see how my bullpen shakes out. Good negotiating wit Twins, as usual.

Trading expiring rookie contract of a 26 year old Closer in Edwin Diaz (NYM). I acquired him in anticipation of my playoff run a year ago. He struggled in 2019 and was a bit down at the time, thus making him available. I paid one (1) top 150 prospect + a second (2nd) round FYPD.

He has recovered his value and again is viewed as a top 5 closer. Although closers are hard to get, I think I have the assets to trade for cheap saves in season if my team is heading towards the playoffs.

I fielded offers from 3 other teams since placing him on the block this off-season but held on for a strong offer. This is that. I get two (2) top 150 prospects and 2 CDD picks. Nice return on my investment of one (1) top 150 prospect and one (1) pick from a year ago.
