Robinson Cano, 2B, SEA $10,000,000 (2017)
Rockies offer: $9,500,000 (2019)
He is still a top 10 (border line top 5) at is position. He will be 35 in 2018. There is some risk with is age (less with a 2 Yr deal). He has pretty much the same number he had when the previous owner re-signed him. I don’t think a 35 years old 2B command an 8 figures. Even if Kinsler was signed has a FA last year at $9K, Cano is still over him at $9.5.
2015: 82R/21HR/79RBI/2SB/.446SLG/.779OPS/ Age 32 2017: 79R/23HR/97RBI/1SB/.453SLG/.791OPS/ Age 34

Denied #1 I struggled with this one, I read your stats above and realize Cruz is 35 going into his contract. Based on the contract that you are offering I would need those 8 digits in a contract for 2 years, if you want to extend those years I can accept 9.5M.

I'm fine with it. Doesn't seem out of line with the current resigns on the book to me. I did enjoy the fact you didn't mention Cano's 2016 season where he was beeeeeast but the comps still work.

Could be a tad low for a 2 year - because not much risk - but i do feel the salary falls in line with what the other 2B have signed for
