Mariners Trade SS Carlos Correa (HOU) 300,000 -2020
Twins Trade SS Jorge Polanco (MIN) 300,000 -2021 SP Bryse Wilson (ATL) 300,000 -20xx 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes (PIT) Prospect
The Why I feel my team, will be ok but probably not a major contender. Polanco is a solid shortstop doesn't have the upside of Correa, but Correa does have a few question marks. (But I feel he will bounce back). But anyway, Polanco will be a solid replacement at SS. I have never been a big Kyle Seager fan who is my starting 3B and last year of resign. Hayes will lock down my 3B position for years to come. Wilson is a player I like in Atlanta that I feel probably not this year but in the next couple of years could be a solid pick up. So I feel I could be giving up a superstar but making my team deeper and getting I my SS for the next two season as well as my future 3B.
How they were acquired Carlos Correa 2012 FYPD - Jorge Polanco - signed with the Minnesota Twins as an international free agent in 2009. Bryse Wilson - acquired in trade with Red Sox Feb 2019 Ke'Bryan Hayes - Twin drafted 2105 FYPD 2nd round

Twins accept.
I traded away all the players that I had any interest in resigning in 2020. So, Correa is a going to be resigned. A healthy Correa is a Star and at about $9m to resign will be more than worth it. I may not be competitive this year but young stars are always worth it. Plus, I should have no problem moving him if the rebuild goes south.
I feel good about my minors based on my recent draft and trades plus I have 5 picks upcoming in the 2020 FYPD. Given up Hayes (one of my favorite prospects) and Wilson will be mitigated by that.

I probably wouldn't give up all that for Correa but I have become a little low on him due to his inability to stay healthy.
Now there is no denying that when he is healthy is he one of the best SS in the game and probably worth a re-sign gamble. But can he stay healthy for a full-year? I have no idea.
