Cubs trade OF Eloy Jimenez - prospect 3B Jeimer Candelario - prospect 138 MLB ABs
A's trade SP Lucas Giolito (2022) in minors SP Ian Anderson (ATL) - prospect
The Why I have some depth at 3b - and in need of pitching - my minors are solid with position player prospects but my pitching depth is weak - so getting good pitching prospects where I am giving up some good position prospects
How they were acquired Eloy Jimenez (CHC) (Cubs' 2013 International Signee) Jeimer Candelario (CHC) (Cubs' 2010 Non-Drafted FA Signing) Lucas Giolito - 2012 FYPD pick by A's Ian Anderson - 2016 FYPD pick by A's

I accept. Pretty much the opposite for me...my pitching at both levels has a lot of young talent, however, I lack much of anything with my position players. Candelario should be the starting 3B this season in DET and Eloy is a prospect that I love.

Ballsy trade gents. I'd have a hard time trading away Jimenez but you could get two very nice SPs in return so sure.
