Current factor of figuring contract extensions: * Player maximums: $14M for position players $13M for staring pitchers $ 9.7M for relief pitchers
How about if the last contract of the player was over the factor amounts, you use the last contract figure for the extension? Ex: if Ohtani has a 3 year avg score of 70, it would take 70% of 60M to resign him, or 42M per year.

Just my 2 cents on eliminating fielding %.... If we eliminate the 13th category then we will have ties and will potentially need a category to break a tie in the playoffs.
