Here is where we can discuss any potential changes or anything that needs to be clarified. I want to do a update on the rules and this is a good way to attack any issues and discuss anything we want to POSSIBLY change moving forward.

No one has anything they want to discuss?

A few things...
1) With the passing of Tyler Skaggs, perhaps a rule can be put into place where a team owning such a player would be relieved of any future salary obligations.
2) Any chance of replacing the field % category with 1 or 2 offensive categories?

I would be in favor of the rule change regarding deceased players.
I haven’t been in the league long enough to have a firm/informed opinion on the scoring change.

As posted in the Skaggs thread I thought we had a rule and we are discussing it. So yes that is already being looked at. I like the unique aspect of Fielding % but not opposed to discussing a change either.

Bloated 1-yr deals will also be something discussed about what is the limit on what you can pay a guy on a 1-yr deal and still be able to re-sign them.

Wins over Quality Starts does punish pitchers with garbage bullpens behind them

- I like QS over wins. Much more equitable like others have said.
- I don't have any problem with bloated one year deals then resigning those players. It's a valid strategy imo.
- I don't really pay any attention to FLD% when analyzing or acquiring players in this league. It doesn't bother me but it doesn't really add anything for me either. If others want to get change it, I would lean more towards just eliminating the category than switching to a different one.

I like the uniqueness of FLD %.
Kind of adds a real life feel to valuing a bit of defense.

It's unique but it heavily favors C and 1B. They get way more putouts than other positions. Start a 1B as a UT and you are in great shape for FLD%. Like I said though, cool with whatever.

It is unique which is something that I like about it. But also not something that I think we HAVE to keep either.

I am not okay with say Shohei Ohtani (LAA) $60,000,000 (2019) one year deal then being able to be re-signed for a fraction of that.
